"Operation Silent Witness: Honoring America's WWII Veterans by Planting Eisenhower Green Ash Trees." The largest national tree-planting event in American Forests' 125 year history; sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation, American Forests, Wal-Mart, and The Scotts Company. The trees were grown from seeds of a green ash tree at the Eisenhower Birthplace in Denison, Texas. Event started with tree-planting ceremony at People to People International Headquarters in Kansas City, MO.
