Education
Through generous grant funding, the Eisenhower Foundation is expanding our educational program offerings. Our programs offer lessons for today's students from Eisenhower's extraordinary legacy of leadership. New programs will be added regularly.
Five Star Leaders is an experiential-learning leadership program which challenges students in grades 8-12, college students, and adults to work together to solve a problem, confront a crisis, or accomplish a mission. Armed with original documents and knowledge of history and leadership, students take on the same challenges as those experienced by historical figures.
During his lifetime, Dwight D. Eisenhower had to make numerous difficult decisions: what to do about the Rosenburgs, how to keep the Cold War cold, and what to do about the polio epidemic. The Five Star Decisions curriculum contains stand-alone programs that put the participant in Eisenhower's shoes and allows them to decide what they would do when confronted with these historic situations.
