We are reminded of a strapping Kansas youth, West Point discipline, Supreme Allied commander, D-Day, victory parades, "I Like Ike", President of the United States, and finally, "at ease" in retirement, and his final resting place in Abilene. The Eisenhower Foundation's mission is to honor Dwight D. Eisenhower and to perpetuate his important legacy; to encourage and support educational activities relating to citizenship; and to support the non-federally funded operation of the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum (The Eisenhower Center). To accomplish this lofty mission, the Foundation continues to play a vital and increasingly active role in the Eisenhower Center's many programs and activities, including:
